This is a stock photo website devoted to those photographers who are amateur due only to the fact that they have not profited from their talent. We believe that there are thousands of amateur photographers who take professional quality photos, but have not been noticed by the world at large. Here is your chance to be recognized.

Submit your photos
We demand your best. Please take your time and compose the best photos you know how. We will be critical on several points.

blurry picture
First and formost FOCUS!
This is the first and most important part of any good picture. The pros take this in stride. The first noticeble thing about any proffessional photograph is it's sharpness and clarity. Unless the photographer intended a soft focus proffessional photos are always remarkably well focused. We cannot stress this point enough. Unless your photos are properly focused they will not be professional quality and we can not accept them.

Overexposed Picture
Second is EXPOSURE
Exposure is exactly what it sounds like, controlling the amount of light that the medium-be it film or a digital sensor-is exposed to. This is controlled in two basic ways, one is shutter speed, the other is aperture. Shutter speed is the amount of time that light is allowed to reach your medium, and aperture is the amount of light allowed to reach your medium. These subjects are covered in more detail in the Tips Section.

Third is SUBJECT
What do we mean by subject? No it doesn't mean to make sure you take a picture of what your taking a picture of. It means to make sure we have a clear understanding of what it is your trying to depict in your photo. Sounds easy but let me assure you this is one of the most common mistakes amateur photographers make. If your taking a picture of someone special in a croud of people you need to make sure that we understand that it is that perticular person that is the subject of your photo. There are several ways to do this and we discuss them in our Tips Section. If you follow these three guidelines you will notice a notable improvment in the photos you take. Now let's get to it.
